Freedom of the press is the bedrock for a healthy democracy. Journalists have long been under attack from oppressive regimes around the world but only recently has there been such a strong push to discredit journalists here in North America. It is with that in mind that I share this list. It is imperative that we support journalists. It is through their work that we gain a better understanding of the issues we face around the world. With knowledge comes power and with power we can create a more fair and free democracy for all.
